Matt has been working as a computer programmer, system administrator, and data analyst for various SETI endeavors at UC Berkeley since 1997, including the popular global volunteer computing project SETI@home. He graduated from University of Binghamton in 1992 with degrees in Math/Computer Science and Music/Composition, and has maintained successful multi-faceted careers in both pursuits since.
Notable other experiences include: creating content for a popular iPhone game (20 million downloads), designing the entire web/database backend for an on-line music retailer (eventually bought out by Amazon), assisting productions of music for national ad campaigns, touring and performing in various ensembles in over 200 cities around North/South America, Europe, and Asia (Russia and Israel).
